Knowledge of PHP and MySQL is a requirement, including OO within PHP5 and Views, Stored Proceedures, etc. within MySQL 5. Experience of MVC frameworks (Zend, CakePHP, Symphony) advantageous.
The job will involve working with Web 2.0 technologies so AJAX (XML, JSON, JavaScript, CSS), 'Web Services' and 'mashups' (REST, SOAP, RSS, WSDL) are highly favourable. An understanding of Linux administration and Shell scripting is also preferred.
You must also have had at least 2 years commercial experience. The position is telecommuting/home working. Fluent English and strong communication skills required. UK residency preferable.
The right applicant must be fluent with ActionScript 3 and have demonstrable experience in developing Adobe Flex and Flash applications, including integration with backend database systems via XML, Flash Remoting or PHP. A good understanding of creating bandwidth efficient one-to-one applications, load balancing, Flash Video, streaming video and audio.
The job will involve working with Adobe AIR so suitable CSS and XHTML are expected. You must also have had at least 2 years commercial experience.
